CLOUD NINE WAS FOUNDED IN 2009, BUT OUR STORY BEGAN MUCH EARLIER.

In 1999, Susan Powls discovered a new ceramic styling technology unlike anything she'd tried before. Trusting her instincts - and with a screwdriver to change a US plug - she declared it a "good hair day", leading to the creation of GHD.

Our kinder approach

After transforming the industry once, Susan knew heat styling could be kinder, especially as women began to recognise the damage caused by excessive heat. In 2006, she stepped away from ghd to create a tool that adapted temperature to different hair types, improving hair health.

That idea became Cloud Nine

Still independent, still based in Harrogate, UK, and still guided by the belief that the kinder we are to our hair, the stronger it becomes.

Contouring Iron is amazing!

The curved edges are so smooth against your hair as you're curling and the way that you can turn up or down the heat on a touch screen I think is a really nice feature! The blue colour I have is also so sleek and gorgeous! I'm obsessed!
